V1 Exterminator armor dates back to the first wars of the Sirius Sector, before battle plate was standardized. Each of the three pad Types is its own take on ancient armor cobbled together from whatever plate was at hand.
Type B is a smaller domed pad bound with riveted straps, with a mounting bar along its top edge, an external cooling fan at the bottom and ribbed hoses running around its lower edge.

How to fit it
Trim any support nubs and sand the inside face lightly, then glue the pad over your model's shoulder joint. Test-fit first: a little green stuff in the joint lets you set the pad at any angle.
Build ideas
Give Type B to a squad's tech specialist or heavy weapons trooper. Mix Types A, B and C across a squad for a patched-together veteran look, or pair them with the V1 Exterminator backpack.
