Custom Grimdark Sci-Fi Miniature Bits: A Builder’s Guide
Custom grimdark sci fi miniature bits are replacement and decorative parts for 28mm to 32mm tabletop models. They include heads, helmets, shoulder pads, symbols, weapons, shields, backpacks, bases, terrain details, and all the other little pieces that somehow occupy more storage containers than the actual miniatures. Builders use custom bits to create original characters, give an army a consistent theme, replace damaged parts, or keep an entire squad from looking like they all arrived wearing the same uniform from the same gloomy catalog. Choosing parts for your miniature project Start... Read more...

February Grimdark Theme Vote Community Decision
February’s theme is officially up for vote, and this time the decision is being left entirely to the community. For February, the focus is St. Patrick’s Day–inspired Grimdark sci-fi, pulling from Irish folklore, gold, luck, and survival themes — reimagined through a dark, tabletop-ready lens. One of the following concepts will be selected and developed into a full February release. The current theme options include: Pot O’ Gold Lads — brutal, gold-laden Space Orc warbands who believe luck is loud and heavy Clurichaun Coin-Snatchers — goblin loot gangs who exist... Read more...

The BW Terrain & Forge January 2026 Product Drop
The January 2026 BW Terrain & Forge release isn’t about balance updates or polite design. It’s about hard silhouettes, exposed intent, and models that look like they’ve already survived the war. Cyber samurai with skull-lined helms. Space knights wearing defiance like armor. Weapons that don’t look ceremonial... they look used. This is the kind of drop you would’ve seen teased in a grainy late-night trailer between action movies. A voice growls: “This winter… customization fights back.”No lore dump. No hand-holding. Just parts that hit the table and immediately tell your... Read more...
