V4 Savage armor is rugged field plate, hammered together on the front line and built to take punishment.
These are the plain Type D pads: a domed V4 Savage shell with a rolled edge, a stepped panel line across the face and three small slot vents low on the front, finished with a smooth, plain face ready for transfers or freehand markings. What sets Type D apart is smaller stepped notches along the front edge plus two notches cut into the bottom rim. That makes it a rugged, field-cut pad for assault troops and veterans. How to fit it
Each pad works on the left or right arm. Trim any support nubs, sand the inside face lightly, and glue the pad over a shoulder joint that has no pad. Test-fit first: a little green stuff in the joint lets you set the pad at any angle.
Build ideas
Give each squad its own Type so units read apart at a glance, or mix plain and studded pads inside a squad and give the studded ones to veterans.
