V4 Savage armor is rugged field plate, hammered together on the front line and built to take punishment.
These are the studded Type A pads: a domed V4 Savage shell with a rolled edge, a stepped panel line across the face and three small slot vents low on the front, finished with rows of raised studs hammered across the whole shell. What sets Type A apart is a smooth front edge and a clean bottom rim with no notches at all, the cleanest of the four shapes. That makes it the parade-ready choice for fresh squads. It shares its shape with Plain Type B, so the two mix naturally in one squad.

How to fit it
Each pad works on the left or right arm. Trim any support nubs, sand the inside face lightly, and glue the pad over a shoulder joint that has no pad. Test-fit first: a little green stuff in the joint lets you set the pad at any angle.
Build ideas
Give each squad its own Type so units read apart at a glance, or mix plain and studded pads inside a squad and give the studded ones to veterans.
