The Crusader Pattern Dreadnought is an ancient cybernetic combat walker used by the Space Knight Legions in the days of the Space Crusade and the Great Heresy, 10,000 Earther years before the present day.

Like the current patterns of Dreadnought, the Crusader Pattern Dreadnought served as a cybernetic sarcophagus for an Space Knight who had been so badly wounded in battle that his only chance for continued service to the Galactic Emperor is being encased within the cybernetic sarcophagus of a Dreadnought.

The Crusader Dreadnought, like much of the technology developed at the dawn of the Galactic Empire, is larger and more powerful than its standard pattern counterparts. The Crusader Dreadnought was once a key part of the earliest Space Knight Legion forces raised on Earth in the late 30th Millennium to initiate the Space Crusade.
