What are sode shoulder pads?

Sode are the shoulder guards of traditional samurai armor, built from layered plates laced together with cord. Bushi means warrior, and our bushi shoulder pads take that same stacked, laced look and add sci-fi details like grilled vents, oni skulls and blank medallions for clan markings.

Pick your armor

  • V7 Iron Eagle bushi pads: Type A with a blank medallion, Type B with plain cord-tab lacing, Type C with criss-cross lacing, Type D with a horned oni skull, and the compact Turbo with a grilled vent.
  • DV4 Destroyer bushi pads: heavy laced plates under a flared crown plate. Type A has a large grilled vent, Type B is plain, Type C has a skull on a flared cross and Type D has a horned oni skull.
  • V6 Stroud heavy plate sode pads: heavy-plate sode shoulder pads, sold as an STL file.

Build ideas

Use the plain laced pads as your line troops and save the oni skulls for leaders. Paint a clan mon on the Type A medallion so squads read apart on the table, or give each squad its own Type.
